Presentation Dance
A Night to Remember !!
Monton Tennis Club organised a fantastic Presentation Dance. Everything was first class - the venue, the food, the disco, the raffle (many thanks to the Clubs who provided a raffle prize) and it was great to see the friends we usually see in sports gear all dressed up strutting their stuff !! Chairman Bernard did the honours for the Walkden League and the new Chairman of the Leigh League presented their prizes. A special presentation was made to John Woods, the retired President of the Leigh League, in recognition of his many years of service to the League.
Our thanks must go to Amanda Twigg, her helpers, Monton Tennis Club and its staff for providing us all with such an enjoyable night with which to end the season. If you missed it - hard luck - remember to come along next year. An added bonus was that a profit was made and shared between the two Leagues ( it will keep future League subs down ! ).
