Would you please note that the Walkden & District Tennis League AGM will be held on Tuesday 17th March 2026 at 7.30pm at Claremont Tennis Club.
Minutes of last years meeting and agenda will be sent out nearer the date.
Please can you let me know how many teams your club wish to enter in the league for the forthcoming season by 10th March, 2026.
If you are no longer secretary of your club can you please forward the email to the person who is and please let me know.

Dear All,

Please can you inform your members that the Walkden & District Tennis League Presentation Evening will be held on Friday 26th September 2025 at Worsley Sports Club (formerly Ellesmere Tennis Club). The Presentation of the Trophies will commence at 8.00pm but you can arrive anytime from 7.00pm and there will be a glass of Buck’s Fizz on arrival.
Supper will be hot food possibly Chicken Curry and there will be a Veggie option. There will also be a DJ with music and dancing after the presentation. The cost will be £10.00 per person.
Any club that has won a trophy will be expected to send at least one member of their club to collect it.
Can you please let me know numbers who wish to attend from your club by Friday 19th September 2025 to assist with catering and the number of people who will want the Veggie supper.
Can anyone who still has a trophy from the last presentation please make arrangements with Caroline Whelan to return it to her so that it can be engraved for this season. Caroline’s contact details are on the League website.

Anyone wishing to pay their respects, the funeral of Brian Critchley will be held on Monday 19th May at Howe Bridge Crematorium commencing at 11.00am.

Dear All,
In view of the unfortunate incident which happened at Tyldesley Tennis Club on Wednesday evening the 30th April, which I have to report very sadly led to the passing away of Brian Critchley a member of Tyldesley Tennis Club. The Walkden & District Tennis League have decided to postpone all fixtures on Wednesday 7th May 2025. Fixtures will then just move forward 1 week as per the fixtures.

Please would you inform all players at your club who will be affected by the above information.

The fixture between Parrfold and Monton A was not played, because the police have closed Parr Fold park due to an ongoing investigation.
We hope the fixture can be played at a later date.

I have made a small change, using separate pages for each division, which means you will see a submenu for each division.
Hopefully, this should speed up the loading of the required page.
